Baking Time!
It’s Christmas time so that means Christmas cookies! The Pīwakawaka room (nursery for children ages 0-2), spent the day making star shaped cookies to take home for their whanau (families) as a Christmas treat! In the morning, we made the cookie dough.
First, we poured all the different ingredients into the big bowl and then we used the spatula to mix them all together. We had to practice our turn taking and waiting skills as we each had a turn. We then had to let the dough rest for a bit and then in the afternoon, we rolled the dough and use the cutter to turn the dough into little star shapes.
We then had some help from our cook Sammie, would put the cookies in the oven for us and then we packaged them up to take home and shear with everyone.
