Plunket and BestStartAt BestStart, we’re proud to be Whānau Āwhina Plunket’s Star Partner, working together to support the growth and development of tamariki in Aotearoa. Our partnership has developed over a decade of supporting communities alongside each other.
For over 100 years, Whānau Āwhina Plunket has been a trusted support for whānau and, as Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest provider of services to children under five, seeing eight out of 10 new pēpi in their homes and communities.
Each year we hold the BestStart Butterfly Appeal for Plunket, previously the BestStart Plunket Appeal, with all funds raised going directly back into Plunket’s community work. Through the generosity of our whānau and teams, we’ve raised over $390,000 for our friends at Whānau Āwhina Plunket over the past nine years!
We are committed to continuing our special relationship with Whānau Āwhina Plunket, working together to create brighter futures for New Zealand tamariki and whānau.
Wright Family Foundation
The Wright Family Foundation aims to improve the wellbeing of individual New Zealanders and communities through education, health and environmental initiatives, with a focus on early childhood education and care, maternity wrap-around services, child health services, music and literacy.
Since opening their first centre in 1996, Chloe and Wayne Wright have built BestStart into New Zealand’s leading private provider of Early Childhood Education. This stemmed from a desire to make a positive difference in New Zealand society. The foundation sees quality education and learning values of collaboration, sharing and kindness in the earliest years of a child’s life prepares the way for developing into confident able adults with a strong future.
