In 1996, Wayne and Chloe Wright opened BestStart’s first early childhood education centre in Tauranga.
What began as a small team of four, has grown into New Zealand’s largest provider of early childhood education, committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children.BestStart is a New Zealand-owned charitable organisation with preschools, kindergartens and Montessori centres nationwide. With over 260 centres from Whangarei to Invercargill, we’re proud to be providing quality education in communities across Aotearoa.
Our centres follow the New Zealand early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki, focusing on the importance of learning through play and building a strong foundation for further learning. Through thoughtfully considered learning spaces and activities, our teachers aim to create a welcoming, safe and engaging environment where every child can explore, grow and reach their full potential.
