Christmas time at BestStart Bader Street!
Season’s Greetings to you all!
We have had a wonderful lead-up to Christmas at BestStart Bader St this year.
Coming straight off the back of a very successful Diwali with whānau, all the Kaiako got into the full Christmas spirit by decorating each classroom with the tamariki. Our kaiako put up the Christmas tree with plenty of help from the children, who were very excited to add tinsel and decorations and to see the lights twinkling in the branches.
The tamariki also created some star decorations to hang up and had fun sitting in front of the tree with a Santa hat on to get a Christmas photo for their whānau. Christmas songs are the emphasis for the month of December, and the tamariki enjoy hearing a wide range of music genres from this, dancing and singing their days away.
A big favorite is Christmas in the Summertime by the Funky Monkeys. We had a lovely centre-wide children’s Christmas party with a yummy sausage sizzle and ice cream in cones, and a visit from our very own Mrs Claus, who delivered each child a special gift to take home.
