Creating Butterflies
Over the last couple of months, we have been busy exploring our gardens, planting vegetables, herbs and flowers.
On sunny days, we have noticed bees and butterflies in our garden, and the wet weather brings out the slugs and snails. We have started a wall inside where our tamariki have been putting their artwork as they have been recreating what we have seen.
Today our tamariki made butterflies using their hands as the outline, and then they coloured them in bright colours. Dexter and Octaviuz, you both giggled when I traced around your hands as it tickled.
It is important that our tamariki can re-create what they see in their world through their learning lens. Mahi pai for supporting each other through the sharing of resources and ideas.
