Daffodil Day
On Friday we acknowledged Daffodil Day, and held a yellow themed day! We brought in a gold coin donation for the Cancer Society and in return got a special daffodil we could pin on to our tops. In the prep school we had yellow paint, a yellow construction set up, yellow dress ups and yellow gloop which was great fun! The gloop was cold and slimy and ran through our fingers! We also painted beautiful daffodil paintings that we have now displayed on our wall. At mat time, Rebecca had 8 yellow items on a tray. We had to memorize what items were on the tray, and then guess what one was missing when an item was taken away! It was too easy, so we ended up memorising 10 items instead! We all came dressed in yellow, and our friend Louis even picked some daffodils from his garden which we proudly had on our table at kai time. They were beautiful! In the preschool we had lots of yellow paint and experiences to explore! Corenna even had yellow hair for the day which the tamariki absolutely loved! We are proud to support the Cancer Society, and are always thinking of those affected.
