During the school holidays at Maui Street we like to give our tamariki some fun activities to do, the July holidays was two weeks of super fun had by all.

Making a list with a magnet for the parents to hang on their fridge, was greatly appreciated by our whanau.

In week 1 our tamariki got to come dressed in their Pajamas this is always a big hit with the children.
We had a pizza making day, where the children got to choose their own pizza toppings for lunch, it was interesting to see what everyone wanted on their pizzas.
Boxes were made into cars so our tamariki could enjoy a "drive in movie", and the last day of the week saw our tamariki from the Kereu room get to adventure outside and go on a walk down the road to the park. This was an awesome outing where the children enjoyed being outside, playing in the fallen leaves and having a picnic lunch.

Week 2 was filled with more dress up days like, dressing up with something starting with the letter of your name, backwards day - wearing your clothes inside out & back to front.
This week it was the Tui rooms turn to go an adventure down the road to the playground. The tamariki had so much fun playing on the playground, its great to see their excitement on their faces.
Our last day was a special day where grandparents or a special person could come visit their grandchildren and see their work at the centre, interact with them and enjoy a very special afternoon tea. Our tamariki are always happy when they have visitors to the centre.
