Meet the Pīwakawaka team (nursery)
Let's meet Tracee! She is head teacher in the Pīwakawaka room and 2IC of the whole centre. Something on her bucket list is to travel more and own a holiday home (maybe overseas). If she had a superhero power it would Teleportation. Something you can find her doing in her spare time is going for walks with here baby, traveling, taking the boat out or heading up to the snow. Her favourite food is chocolate and cheese. Her favourite thing about teaching is helping tamariki to express themselves as individuals and love who they are as a person. Tracee has been teaching for 16 years and has been within BestStart for 4 years. She has spent 2 years teaching overseas in the UK, France and Italy and then 4 months teaching in Japan. She started at BestStart St Albans in 2022.
Let's meet Danielle (also known as Danny)! She is a qualified teacher in the Pīwakawaka room. Something on her bucket list is to referee Judo at an International tournament. If she had a superhero power it would super speed. What you can find her doing in her spare time is training and coaching at her Judo club, playing board games or going camping and tramping with her partner. Her favourite food is chocolate brownie with all the toppings. Her favourite thing about teaching is the rewarding feeling of being able to support children to achieve new things. She has been teaching for 6 years and as been at St Albans since 2020.
