Our Library at BestStart Botany junction
At BestStart Botany Junction we are very excited to share our Library space in our foyer. The amazing idea is the active outcome of this year's Early Reading programme which was held in April.
We have a huge range of colourful, vibrant, and age-appropriate books that are available to all our Tamariki, Whanau, and the people who visit us. This well-presented and appealing area catches so many of our tamariki's attention to come and explore the beautiful stories within these books.
Our Kaiako here at Botany Junction provides opportunities to visit this area to our Preschool children and choose their favourite books to issue so they can enjoy reading their bedtime stories. Kaiako believe in enriching tamariki's thinking, creativity and vocabulary through interactive storytelling sessions which are provided through mat times.
We are very excited about developing tamariki's love for reading books, taking these home, and building a responsibility to look after and care for them. Tamariki enjoy their little walks to our foyer and spend quality time developing their autonomy in their book-choosing decisions, allowing them to develop responsibility and pride in their decisions.
