Our Nursery
At Beststart Papanui we believe that learning starts with feeling loved and this starts within our Nursery space. Our growing and developing pepe are met with a beautiful home like nursery setting in which interests are extended and plenty of nurturing moments are undertaken during the day.
Throughout our space we have opportunities for physically active play, relaxation as well as literary resources and opportunities for creativity and art. We enjoy a range of natural resources and believe in lots of heuristic play and free choice. At Papanui we truly believe in growing and developing independence and ensuring that babies and toddlers know that they have a place with us. This means we enjoy building confidence in them by offering various opportunities of learning/ako from our inside environment to our outside play space.
Our beautiful outside playground gives us the opportunity to explore all kinds of activities from climbing to messy play and water adventures! Sometimes we do explore in the preschool playground where we value our tuakana-teina relatinships and enjoy spending time with the older children; which in turn helps us in our transition processes. We love our home away from home environment and having a small number of pepe means we can enjoy lots of 1:1 time with our teachers and our babies.
