We are all in this together - He waka Eke Noa Hiwi-i-te-rangi
Nursery Hiwa-i-te-rangi is the youngest of the stars in the Matariki cluster and is connected to the promise of a fortunate season. It is the star to send your wishes, dreams, and desires for the upcoming year - we nurture and guide tamariki from the ages of 3 months until 2 years following closely with the whānau values and aspirations for their tamariki.
Tupu-a-nuku- Toddlers Tupu- a –nuku is the link between the land and the sky. It is the connection between primary care and independence. In Tupu-a-nuku we as teachers support, guide and use our modelling skills to help our toddlers learn new skills of communication, being sociable and being independent to explore.
Waiti and Waita – Preschool 1 and 2 Waiti and Waita are matariki twins. They help the smallest and fastest creatures on our earth and they know they need to work as a team like twins. Waita is the star that watches over food from the sea and Waiti watches upon freshwater food. These two rooms can also be interrelated to Ngake and Whataita, as they try to break their barriers and explore more throughout their life journey. Our Waiti and Waita room work together as one to help each other to explore and learn skills to help them grow into capable learners.
