Out in the Community
At BestStart Judea our Paua Room (2 to 3 year olds) hold weekend events 2 times a year and these are well loved by our families and our latest trip was no different. It was great to have around 10 families gather in Memorial Park one sunny Sunday morning in November.
This event gave parents the opportunity to spend time making connections and building relationships with each other, watch their children play with their friends and explore the big playground. We all gathered as a group to go on the train and some were lucky enough to get an ice cream from Mr Whippy.
Our special events also support children make links with their friends out in the community while strengthening their social skills such as turn taking and sharing and developing their physical development as they explore different climbing equipment. It was so nice to be able to get out in our local community and connect with our families outside of our centre in an environment where we are able to chat and enjoy watching all the children having fun. Our team are looking forward to organizing our next big weekend event in 2024 alongside our families.
