Saturday Morning Tee Ball!
Here at BestStart Kelvin Grove we are proud to have a team in our local Saturday morning Tee Ball competition.
Our dedicated teachers meet the Kelvin Grove Grizzly Bears and their whānau down at the field.
Playing Tee Ball gives the tamariki opportunities to practice our centre values of Respect – Manaakitanga, Individuality – Mana, Teamwork – Kotahitanga and Empathy – Atawhai.
Tee Ball is a great way to stay fit and healthy and to practice ball skills, master hand eye co-ordination, and build strength and agility.
The tamariki demonstrate so much confidence in their abilities and it is amazing to see the level of communication between team mates.
We are always excited at the amazing turn out of whānau and friends who are there to watch, support and cheer us on.
We have a prizegiving where we celebrate the winner of our Sportsmanship Award and a Player of the Day. These children are also celebrated back at the centre on Monday morning.
What better way to see our vision in action, “At one with child, whānau and community”.
Don’t just take our word for it… here is what our parents are saying:
