The Big Log Truck
In rūma Pihinga they have been learning and exploring the different types of transportation that exist, trucks and vehicle with wheels have always peaked our centres interest so when one of our amazing parents offered to drop by in their big log truck to say we were all excited would be an understatement! Our tamariki and kaiako enjoyed the morning having turns climbing in and out of this giant truck, even our pēpi from ruma he kakano were impressed. We can't wait to see what other types of vehicles we can get visits from in the future. Experiences like these are great for our tamariki to take part in their own discovery of interests, seeing this truck might inspire a future truck driver or two. Here at Parton Road we have such a great whanau bond with our parents which makes experiences like this even possible. Having this big log truck visit also supports our tamariki with learning about spatial awareness, hand eye coordination and gross motor skills and they're encouraged to step outside of their comfort zone of their usual environment and experience something new and exciting, watching our tamariki take the lead is super rewarding! Thank you Catalaya and Aaliyah's dad!
