Our centre has been buzzing with excitement as we have been exploring a variety of sensory activities with our tamariki ma to celebrate the beginning of a new year. From ice play to water play, sensory play to messy play, the children have been fully engaged and having a blast. One of the highlights has been our ice play sessions. The children loved exploring the sensation of cold, slippery ice in their hands. We have incorporated different colors and shapes of ice cubes to make it even more fun and engaging. It has been a wonderful way to cool off on hot summer days while also stimulating their senses. The children have also enjoyed splashing around in the water trough, pouring water into different containers, and experimenting with water wheels and pipes. It has been a fantastic way for our active learners to develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while also having a great time. Sensory play has been a key focus for us, as we believe in the importance of stimulating all children's senses. We have set up sensory baskets filled with various materials for our children to explore. Especially for our babies, they have loved getting their little hands messy and discovering new textures and sensations. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and imagination come to life during these sensory play sessions. From finger painting to slime making, tamariki ma have been fully immersed in the world of messy play. They have enjoyed getting messy and using their hands to create beautiful works of art. It has been a great way for them to express themselves and develop their creativity. Overall, the past three months have been filled with laughter, learning, and exploration at our centre. We are committed to providing a stimulating and engaging environment for the children to grow and thrive, and we look forward to continuing to provide exciting sensory activities for them to enjoy in the coming months.
