A big welcome to the coming year!
It’s lovely to have everyone all back on board, children’s families and the team have all had some amazing times over the holidays and we are loving hearing all about their big adventures.
Children have settled back into preschool routines so smoothly and are very much enjoying the day-to-day activities and experiences being offered throughout the curriculum. With everyone looking forward to the coming year. We kickstarted the year with some fun holiday program themed days – children had a ball with wheels day, water day, disco and teddy bear picnic days. We also provided a warm welcome social, inviting extended family members to join us as we provided kai and hosted a good old kiwi fish and chip picnic.
Looking forward to the coming year we have some really exciting things planned for 2024 including extending our early literacy program and sessions with our outreach librarian Lynette; We are planning to get out and about more strengthening our connections with our community; and we are about to start a very exciting journey in sustainability as we research and discover what that means for us and our community. From that understanding we are then planning to implement some exciting sustainable practices where we can be confident we are being responsible Kaitiakitanga as well as teaching this in our every day with children.
