Welcoming tamariki back to the centre
At BestStart-Apirana we value our strong relationships with our families and whanau. During our first day back after our long break, we saw this getting stronger than ever. All our families, whanau and children were all very excited to be back with their friends, teachers and most of all to their place where they feel safe, secure and have a great sense of belonging. All Kaiko welcome and greeted back our families with sincere warmth, enthusiasm and aroha.
Our tamariki settled back in so well in the centre. There were lots of laughter, giggles and talking as they explore their learning environments and engage in learning experiences which they missed from home. Messy play is a great way for our children to express their creativity and explore using all their senses. Our children have also shown their real-life experiences through their pretend or dramatic play with most of them baking, cooking and preparing food for each other. It is so nice to be back again in the centre having all our children, families and whanau and continue the learning journey which we have started.
